Inventory Planning Manager | Farmingdale, NY (On-site)

About the Role

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Inventory Planning Manager with strong demand forecasting, inventory management, and Excel skills. This role focuses on managing finished-goods inventory, optimizing replenishment decisions, and ensuring product availability while minimizing excess inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze demand forecasts, historical sales, and inventory trends to determine optimal order quantities and timing
• Manage finished-goods inventory to prevent stockouts and overstock
• Utilize Excel, forecasting tools, and ERP/DRP systems to monitor inventory levels and replenishment needs
• Evaluate lead times, safety stock, and supply requirements to support inventory decisions
• Coordinate with supply chain, sales, and logistics teams on purchase orders and shipping schedules
• Identify inventory risks, recommend adjustments, and provide actionable reporting to leadership

Requirements

• 5+ years of inventory planning experience in retail, manufacturing, or a retail supplier environment
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, INDEX/MATCH, and data modeling
• Experience with ERP or inventory planning systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle
• Strong understanding of demand forecasting, finished-goods inventory, lead times, safety stock, and replenishment planning
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work on-site in Long Island, NY, five days per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) systems
• Inventory planning experience supporting major retailers
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field
