Design Engineer | Product Development

📍 Nashville, TN (Hybrid)

Reports To: Director of Engineering

We’re seeking an innovative, results-driven Design Engineer to develop and launch new products and improve existing products. This hands-on role oversees systems throughout the entire product lifecycle – transforming conceptual designs into production-ready equipment, solving complex technical challenges, and ensuring all assemblies comply with quality and industry standards.

Company Overview

An established electrical Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specializing in custom, high-reliability electro-mechanical equipment built on precision engineering and durable manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, validate, and launch new OEM-grade equipment while optimizing mature product lines
• Generate 3D solid models, 2D fabrication drawings, and structured Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Serve as a technical resource for assembly troubleshooting and field diagnostics
• Coordinate with Standards Engineers and Quality Assurance to verify compliance
• Provide engineering support to Sales and Customer Service teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical discipline)
• 3+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing or OEM environment
• Hands-on knowledge of sheet metal design, forming, and fabrication
• Demonstrated 3D solid modeling experience (PTC Creo, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or CATIA)
