We’re working with a well-known and respected transportation company in search of a high-caliber Transportation Manager near Montgomery, AL. The VP that this individual reports into is one of the best in the industry. This position will present the opportunity for upward mobility. Candidates the have experience managing company drivers will have the upper hand.

The Transportation Manager leads a team of 4 Fleet Managers and 45 company drivers.

Responsibilities:

– Plans, directs, and oversees transportation functions for the account
– Developing great relationships with the drivers and leaders of their client
– Monitor KPI metrics and analyze operational variables and implement solutions that positively impact account performance
– Ensures on-time delivery of products and services
– Ensures transportation operations meets or exceeds safety and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent management experience in the logistics field (2-4 years)
– Strong knowledge of dispatch operations, transportation management and logistics solutions with a broad knowledge of DOT rules and regulations

Skills/Abilities:

– Exceptional communication skills
– Excellent leadership abilities
