Position: Safety Supervisor

Location: Reading, PA

Salary: Competitive Base + Bonus

We’re working with a well-known and respected national distributor in search of an advanced Safety Supervisor to manage a large, high-volume distribution center near Reading, PA. Our client will offer relocation assistance for the right candidate that’s looking to move closer to the facility. Candidates need to come from a distribution or manufacturing background ideally in the food/beverage/grocery industry.

Responsibilities:

– Communicates risk control and safety issues and objectives to distribution associates
– Broad working knowledge of OSHA’s federal, state regulations as well as local safety, health, environmental, and worker’s compensation laws and regulations
– Effectively motivate and lead a high performing team
– Knowledgeable about FDA regulations
– Responsible for OSHA reporting and recordkeeping
– Audit implementation of programs and ensure strategy for sustainable compliance

Qualifications:

– Professional certifications, such as GSP, ASP, CSP, and/or ARM preferred
– Four-year degree or equivalent required
– Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and provide superior customer service
– Broad working knowledge of federal, state, and local safety, health, environmental and workers’ compensation laws and regulations
– Experience in high volume and demanding distribution
