Position: Director of DC Automation Operations
Location: Hartford, CT; Possible relocation in the future
Description:
This role will oversee the implementation of an ASRS in a 250k sq. ft. distribution center. It is a state of the art system that will be implemented nationwide for our client. This site is their flagship location with this specific automation so you will get the opportunity to lead and drive a huge companywide initiative.
Responsibilities:
– Oversee the planning and implementation of an ASRS
– Act as the liaison between the DC leadership team and the vendor
– Identify areas of opportunities for process optimization
– Asses potential risks and challenges associated with this implementation
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards and company policies
Requirements:
– 10+ years of supply chain experience; 5 of those being in a high volume DC leadership capacity
– In-depth knowledge and experience with automated warehouse systems; implementation experience a huge plus
– Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Skills/Abilities:
– Great communication skills
– Strong analytical skills
– ASRS experience
