  Position: Vice President of Managed Transportation
  
  Location: Remote
  
  Compensation: $400-450k all in (base, bonus and LTI included)
  
  Travel: 60%
  
  Description:
  
  Our client is a top U.S. transportation provider who is looking for a VP to run their managed transportation and brokerage divisions across all sectors in their dedicated space. This role will be overseeing a team of Directors, Senior Directors and Regional Directors across the nation. Ideal candidates will be in a VP/SVP type role with a top 10-15 transportation provider.
  
  Responsibilities:
  
  - Plan and develop multi-year transportation strategies
  - Run a highly profitable budget by increasing revenue and minimizing expenses
  - Maintain and build relationships with carrier partners
  - Develop and expand freight brokerage services
  - Negotiate carrier rates
  - Oversee and develop a highly effective management team
  - Drive a lean culture
  
  MUST Haves:
  
  - 15+ years progressive responsibility in transportation; preferably in 3rd party transportation
  - B.S. in supply chain or related field
  - Experience running managed transportation and brokerage divisions
  - Union and non-union experience a plus
  
  Skills/Abilities:
  
  - Strong negotiating skills
  - Effective communication skills
  - Excellent analytical and budgetary skills
  - Strong with transportation systems
