  Maintenance Department Manager

  One of the country’s largest retail distribution companies is looking to fill the role of the Maintenance Department Manager. This person will provide maintenance support to the DC Operation on their specified shift, and they currently have all shifts open. This person is also responsible for a team of up to 10 hourly technicians and for planning, directing and coordinating the activities of the maintenance personnel.
  
  

  What you'll be doing:

  • - Performing routine and emergency equipment maintenance on various systems throughout the DC including:
    • - Rapistan/Dematic Conveyor Systems
    • - Material Handling Equipment
    • - High-tech sortation/automated laser scanners
    • - HVAC
    • - Welding equipment
  • - Responsible for building and ground maintenance
  • - Resolves various equipment problems
  • - Assist in safety compliance and programs
  • - Selecting, training, motivating and development of staff
  • - Other duties as assigned

   

  The Right Candidate has..
  
  High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors' Degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
  
  3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training and 1 to 2 years supervisory and/or management experience.
  
  

  Job Related Skills:

  • - Electrical/electronic background and experience with conveyors, welding, air compressors, scanners, electronic controls or industrial building maintenance required.
  • - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals is key.
  • - Previous experience with MP2 program and PLC is preferred.
  • - Familiarity with Radio Frequency and pick-to-light systems desired.
  • - Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills are key for all positions, as well as strong planning and organization skills.
  • - Computer Skills: MS Office Suite proficiency
